The IBO hosts a competitive archery event called 3D archery. In 3D archery, you shoot at realistic animal shaped foam targets with scoring rings with points equaling 5, 8, 10 or 11 for the center ring. Additionally, missing the target earns you zero points.

3D archery is somewhat comparable to golf. You walk the course and take your shot at 30 (typically) different animal shaped archery targets. You keep score and the winner is the competitor with the highest score. This makes the scoring, however, opposite to golf.

Using the available terrain to simulate hunting scenarios, providing archers with a variety of challenging shot opportunities. That makes each course is slightly different. It is fresh and exciting every time you go to a 3D shoot.

In addition to further developing your archery skillset, 3D archery is a great way to spend some much needed time outside.
